Logo design is far and away one of the most challenging things I work on but I love it. I'm obsessive about typography and color, and that goes for all of my work. I believe that even pure design assignments should be conceptual. And sometimes restraint is the hardest but most crucial thing to master when developing a mark that truly sings.

Who doesn’t love a good extreme makeover?

I really enjoy branding work whenever I am lucky enough to get my hands on it. I love playing detective, immersing myself in the brand’s history to try to understand who they are, who they want to be and what makes them unique.

Overall Pet Salon
Pet grooming is often stressful for our beloved pets. It’s a given. Strongly scented products, uncomfortable restraints and the presence of other animals can make the environment overstimulating and lead to a less than ideal groom. This new, local startup was creating a safe space for our animal friends, with strap-free grooming, organic products and one-on-one grooming sessions. This holistic approach led to an earthy color palette, a fluid linework and soft organic shapes, that would be sure to stand out amongst the local competition.

The Freedom Trail
One of Boston’s classic tourist must-do’s, the Freedom trail is an interactive experience that brings our rich history to life. The branding for the Freedom trail had its own history, and the while the original emblem worked well in physical locations along the trail, it fell short in small spaces and online. My objective with this design was to create something that felt historic and that also incorporated the fluidity of the famous red walking trail.
